Ashfield Baptist Homes trialled OTEK, the ozone based laundry system in February 2008 and moved to the system in March 2008. We have found many advantages in using the new system. As well as using fewer staff hours in the laundry, we are now using a lot less water and because the system uses cold water, our power use is also down. As well, the linen coming out of the laundry is a lot softer than the previous system and has a cleaner appearance, which our residents like. And because the ozone system uses less chemicals it is a better option for the environment. We are pleased with the system and are glad we made the change.
